Rent a wheelchair for the weekend

Renting a wheelchair for the weekend is suitable for a temporary need for a foldable wheelchair from Friday to Monday. The wheelchair is made of aluminum and intended for both indoor and outdoor use. It can be operated by the user themselves or pushed by an attendant.
The wheelchair is suitable for, for example, travel, shorter stays, visits, excursions, and other temporary activities. The lightweight and foldable construction makes the wheelchair easier to transport and store in a limited space.
The frame is made of aluminum, combining low weight with a stable construction. The seat and backrest are covered in nylon, which is designed for easy cleaning.

Rental period

Renting a wheelchair for the weekend means that the rental period covers Friday to Monday. Collection is on Friday from 10:00 AM. Return must be on Monday between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM.
The wheelchair may be returned earlier during the store's opening hours. Earlier return does not entail any refund.

Opening hours for collection and return

Weekdays: 10:00 AM–6:30 PM
Saturdays: 10:00 AM–4:30 PM
Sundays: 10:00 AM–2:30 PM
The store is normally open on public holidays as well. During certain holidays, different opening hours may apply.

Booking and collection

All bookings for Rent a wheelchair for the weekend are made via the website www.vihp.se. The product is added to the shopping cart, and the option "Collect in store" is selected at checkout.
When paying on the website, there is a field for notes. Here, the collection date and desired time for collection should be specified. This information is used to plan and confirm the handover of the wheelchair.
Collection and return only take place at the VI HP store at the following address:

Delivery is not offered when renting a wheelchair.

Cancellation and changes

The order must be placed no later than the day before the planned collection. Bookings for same-day collection cannot be made directly via the website.
Cancellation is only possible on the same day the booking was made and no later than 7:00 PM. Cancellation on the booked collection day is not permitted.
Late returns exceeding one hour will be charged 400 SEK per commenced day.
The booked collection day cannot normally be changed afterwards, as the number of wheelchairs is limited. Contact can be made by phone to inquire if a change is possible.

Same-day collection

Renting a wheelchair for the weekend with same-day collection may in some cases be approved after contact with VI HP. Availability cannot be guaranteed.
When same-day collection is approved, a booking email will first be sent. Thereafter, a separate invoice will be sent with a note that the wheelchair is to be collected on the same day.

Terms and responsibility

The wheelchair is photographed at collection to document its condition. The wheelchair must be returned clean and in the same condition as when it was handed out.
A wheelchair cushion is included as a loan during the rental period. The cushion must be returned together with the wheelchair and in the same condition as when it was handed out.
Damage occurring due to improper use will be charged based on the extent of the damage.
Responsibility for the wheelchair's condition and safe use lies with the person making the booking and renting the wheelchair, even when someone else is using it.
VI HP must be contacted immediately if a fault occurs, an accident happens, or a delay in return is expected.
No deposit is required. Valid identification must be shown at collection.

Invoice and ownership

Upon booking a Rent a wheelchair for the weekend, a confirmation email and an invoice will be sent. The term "purchase" on the invoice refers to the rental of the wheelchair and does not mean that the product has been bought.
The wheelchair does not become the property of the renter. The booking only grants the right to use the wheelchair during the agreed rental period.
