Rent a wheelchair for a day

Renting a wheelchair for a day is suitable for temporary needs of a foldable wheelchair for a shorter period. The wheelchair is made of aluminum and intended for both indoor and outdoor use. It can be propelled by the user themselves or pushed by an attendant.

The wheelchair is suitable for, for example, visits, travel, excursions, and shorter activities. Its lightweight and foldable design makes it easier to transport and store in a limited space.

The frame is made of aluminum, combining low weight with a stable construction. The seat and backrest are upholstered in nylon, which is designed for easy cleaning.

Rental Period

Renting a wheelchair for a day means the rental period covers one day. Pick-up is available from 10:00 AM on the chosen day. Return must be made the following day between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM. The wheelchair can be returned earlier during the store's opening hours. Early return does not entitle to a refund.

Opening hours for pick-up and return

Weekdays: 10:00 AM–6:30 PM
Saturdays: 10:00 AM–4:30 PM
Sundays: 10:00 AM–2:30 PM

The store is normally open on public holidays as well. On certain holidays, different opening hours may apply.

Booking and Pick-up

All bookings for "Rent a wheelchair for a day" are made via the website www.vihp.se. The product is added to the shopping cart, and the option "Pick up in store" is selected at checkout.

When paying on the website, there is a field for notes. This is where the pick-up date and desired pick-up time should be entered. This information is used to plan and confirm the handover of the wheelchair.

Pick-up and return only take place at the VI HP store at the following address:

Delivery is not offered for wheelchair rentals.

Cancellation and Changes

The order must be placed no later than the day before the planned pick-up. Bookings for same-day pick-up cannot be made directly via the website.

Cancellation is only possible on the same day the booking was made and no later than 7:00 PM. Cancellation on the booked pick-up day is not permitted.

Late return exceeding one hour will be charged 400 SEK per commenced day.

The booked pick-up day cannot normally be changed afterwards due to the limited number of wheelchairs. Contact can be made by phone to investigate if a change is possible.

Same-day pick-up

Renting a wheelchair for a day with same-day pick-up may in some cases be approved after contacting VI HP. Availability cannot be guaranteed.

When same-day pick-up is approved, a booking confirmation email is first sent. Thereafter, a separate invoice is sent with a note that the wheelchair is to be picked up on the same day.

Terms and Conditions

The wheelchair is photographed upon pick-up to document its condition. The wheelchair must be returned cleaned and in the same condition as when it was handed out.

A wheelchair cushion is included as a loan during the rental period. The cushion must be returned together with the wheelchair and in the same condition as when it was handed out.

Damages caused by improper use will be charged based on the extent of the damage.

The responsibility for the wheelchair's condition and safe use lies with the person making the booking and renting the wheelchair, even when the wheelchair is used by someone else.

VI HP must be contacted immediately if a fault occurs, an accident happens, or a delay in return is expected.

No deposit is required. Valid identification must be shown upon pick-up.

Invoice and Ownership

Upon booking "Rent a wheelchair for a day," a confirmation email and an invoice are sent. The term "purchase" on the invoice refers to the rental of the wheelchair and does not mean that the product has been bought.

Ownership of the wheelchair does not transfer to the renter. The booking only grants the right to use the wheelchair during the agreed rental period.
