Alfa wrist brace – Relief for wrist discomfort

The Alfa wrist brace is a black wrist orthosis used to relieve the wrist and alleviate pain associated with various wrist conditions. It is intended for use in cases such as carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS), rheumatic and degenerative conditions, and ailments resulting from overuse. The orthosis is fastened around the wrist with adjustable Velcro straps and features a thumb opening.

Relief for wrist pain

The orthosis is designed to provide relief around the wrist. It can be used for the conditions mentioned above and adjusted to fit correctly around the hand and wrist. The Alfa wrist brace features adjustable fastening for an individual fit.

Material and construction

The Alfa elastic consists of cotton, nylon, and rubber. The edge bands contain cotton and nylon, while the Velcro straps are made of nylon. The construction combines elastic material with adjustable fastening.

Adjustable fastening
The Velcro straps allow the orthosis to be adjusted to the shape of the wrist. When putting it on, first fasten the middle strap and then the outer straps. The soft Velcro parts should cover the hard ones, and the edges of the opening should meet or slightly overlap.

Application
Place the orthosis under the hand with the thumb in the thumb opening. Fasten the Velcro straps and ensure the orthosis is positioned correctly. Then, adjust the grip around the thumb once the fastening on the back of the hand is complete.

Sizing
Measure the circumference of the wrist to select the correct size. A proper fit is important for the orthosis to be used as intended.

Cleaning and care
Close the Velcro straps before washing. The orthosis can be washed at 40 °C and should preferably be placed in a laundry bag. Let it drip dry. Do not use bleach and avoid ironing, dry cleaning, and tumble drying.
