Silistab Achillo Ankle Brace – Support for the ankle and Achilles tendon

The Silistab Achillo ankle brace is an elastic ankle orthosis that provides support and compression around the ankle for Achilles tendon issues. It is intended for offloading in cases of, among other things, tendinopathy, tenosynovitis, bursitis, and Haglund's deformity. The brace has a protective insert over the Achilles tendon and is supplemented with stackable heel inserts for customized offloading.

Support and compression

The elastic knit provides compression and support around the ankle. The Silistab Achillo ankle brace has compression class 3 with a specified pressure of 20–36 mmHg and is designed for use with Achilles tendon problems and to prevent certain sports-related injuries.

Protection over the Achilles tendon

An insert over the Achilles tendon protects the area and provides a shock-absorbing effect. The insert is positioned against the tendon to provide protection during use.

Customized offloading with heel inserts
Two pairs of stackable heel inserts are included. They are used to offload the Achilles tendon and can be combined for three different heights. The corresponding height is used in the other shoe for a more even gait.

Areas of application
The Silistab Achillo ankle brace is also intended for use in cases of pain and swelling after Achilles tendon surgery and as part of conservative treatment for Achilles tendon rupture. Use should be adapted to the specific injury or condition.

Application and fit
Pull the brace over your foot and position the protective insert over your Achilles tendon. A donning tab makes it easier to put on. Size is chosen based on the circumference around the ankle. The product can be used on both the right and left foot.

Material and construction
The brace consists of polyamide, elastane, polyester, polyurethane, thermoplastic elastomer, and ethylene vinyl acetate. The product contains natural rubber latex.

Cleaning and care
Machine wash at a maximum of 30 °C on a delicate cycle. Do not use fabric softener, strong detergents, or bleach. Gently squeeze out the water and let it dry flat, protected from direct heat. Do not tumble dry or iron.

Important during use
Do not use the brace if you have a known allergy to any of the materials. It should not be applied directly to damaged skin or open wounds and should not be used if the diagnosis is uncertain or if you have a history of venous or lymphatic disease.
