The Ligaflex finger support is an immobilization orthosis that stabilizes the wrist and fingers when a finger needs to be kept still. It can be used on both the right and left hand and is intended for the index, middle, and ring fingers. The support features a moldable aluminum splint and four straps that help keep the finger in the required position.

Stabilization for finger injuries

The Ligaflex finger support can immobilize an injured finger or keep it still alongside an adjacent finger. The orthosis limits movement in the affected area and can be placed on the palm or the back of the hand, depending on how the finger needs to be stabilized.

Moldable splint and adjustable straps

The aluminum splint is shaped to hold the finger in an appropriate position, for example, bent or extended, according to treatment instructions. Four straps, two of which are fixed and two removable, are used to customize the fit. The adjustment should provide firm support without hindering blood circulation.
Areas of use
The Ligaflex finger support is intended for immobilization following finger injuries, such as sprains, dislocations, and ligament injuries. It can also be used after surgery or trauma. Which finger to stabilize and how to shape the splint depends on the nature of the injury and the recommended treatment.
Measurement and fit
Measure the distance from the tip of the injured finger to the wrist joint. Compare the measurement with the separate size guide before choosing a model. Ensure the orthosis fits correctly before use.
Application and adjustment
Place the orthosis on the palm or the back of the hand according to the intended immobilization. Shape the splint and position the finger so the support fits the hand and finger orientation. Fasten the straps in the order A, B, C, and D according to the instruction manual. Adjust the tightness without constricting.
Precautions
The product should not be used in the event of an uncertain diagnosis, known allergy to the materials, or unstable fractures. Do not place it directly on damaged skin. Remove the support and seek medical advice if pain, discomfort, or sensory impairment occurs.
Washing and care
The Ligaflex finger support is machine washable on a gentle cycle at a maximum of 30 °C, preferably in a laundry bag. Close the Velcro straps before washing. Avoid bleach, fabric softeners, and harsh detergents. Gently press out excess water and leave the support to flat dry away from direct heat. Do not tumble dry, iron, or dry clean.
